Diving NITROX

Why diving Nitrox

Most divers are using air during their dives. Air is a mixture of nitrogen (80%) and oxygen (20%). Nitrox also called Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) is enriched in oxygen and will provide you several advantages:
  • Longer bottom time or reduced decompression steps. In comparison to air, the Nitrox diver would dive longer at a set depth, meanwhile staying in the non deco safety limits or reduced the duration of the decompression steps in case of a decompression dive.
  • The surface time is reduced and you would be able to dive longer still with no deco steps in case of successive dives
  • As a diver you will feel less tired at the end of the day
Now days, Nitrox diving is not anymore reserved to the Tek divers. Nitrox is more and more used by leisure divers as it helps to secure your dives and will provide you more pleasure, without inconvenience.

The Basic Nitrox Diver specialty course

Our qualified and experience dive instructors will take you through the course and will explain you the theory and practice of calculating no decompression times and oxygen exposure limits with Nitrox mixtures up to 40% oxygen content. After the academic section it is time to get the full benefit and enjoy 2 open water dives with longer bottom time than what you thought was possible.
